Be the Wind, 2007
The line of the horizon divides the world in two. Sky above, sea below. Source light above, reflected light below. Xùn (breath, wind) above, Kǎn (water, darkness) below.
But we do not see water as darkness. We see it as reflected light, its true nature hidden below. Hence huàn— wind over water— translates to “dispersion” or “scattering”.
